After the success of the 'Ladies who lunch and learn' meetup group. We thought that we should have another group to include the chaps, especially as a few have joined the ladies' group (although not been brave enough to actually attend any meetups!)
This new group, named ‘Food for Thought in Preston’ is aimed at people interested in the areas of personal development and health and well-being who would like to meet on a part business/part sociable basis. For the business people amongst you, it will provide regular networking opportunities. However, there will be no hard-selling, either from us or any of the guest presenters at the events.
The group will host presentations on a variety of interesting subjects from guest presenters and, occasionally, from us. The price includes a meal and drink following the presentation (with tea and coffee being available all evening).
The group meets monthly on Thursday evenings in the first floor boardroom of the ‘Twelve Tellers’ on Church Street. This building previously housed the TSB and the two boardrooms there were formerly used for bank managers’ meetings – they have been left as they were and are very impressive!
Parking is available nearby at Preston Bus Station or on a smaller flat car park near the Bus Station where you can exit by foot directly onto Church Street. Both car parks operate as ‘Pay and Display’.
Subjects of presentations delivered or planned for the near-future range from gaining a positive mind-set, mindful eating, how to be a more confident presenter and how to stay safe online!
We are happy to receive suggestions for future presentation topics and offers from guest presenters who would like to be considered for the event. Why not hone your own presentation skills at this friendly and enjoyable meetup event?
